District Councillors

The Mid Worcestershire Constituency is located entirely within the Wychavon district, but parts of Wychavon (including Pershore, Bredon, Inkberrow and Cookhill) are in other parliamentary constituencies.

Wychavon covers some 260 square miles of the eastern part of the county of Worcestershire. It extends from an eastern border with Warwickshire and its western boundary is formed by the River Severn and the city of Worcester. In the south, Wychavon commences at the Cotswold boundary with Gloucestershire and extends as far north as the towns of Bromsgrove and Kidderminster.

With a population of over 112,000 Wychavon is a combination of urban and rural communities and interests. Its three main towns - Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore - and nearly 100 villages are scattered across lovely countryside, watered by the winding River Avon, edged by the Severn and including such naturally beautiful features as the Cotswolds' northern edge and the height of Bredon Hill.

You can find out more about the council from this link, where you will also find a post code finder to enable you to identify and contact both your county and district councillors:

Wychavon provides a range of community services including rubbish collection, leisure facilities, parks, environmental health, licensing, parking and planning.

Wychavon District Council is controlled by the Conservatives. There are 35 Conservative councillors who represent areas known as "wards". The total council has 45 councillors. Most wards have single members, but some are represented by two councillors.  The next elections are due in May 2011. You can find all the Conservative councillors by clicking here.
